How giraffes get their purple tongue?
1.5million years ago in the African Safari, where it smells like old and dried grass, you can see different types of mammals and loads of trees, there lived a family of giraffes.
One day,one of the giraffes ran away to find food. The other giraffes saw him run away and they mischievously whispered about something. They knew that the giraffe wanted to find food and they knew that he loved berries. So they made him learn a lesson to not run away from the family and not to eat things that he is not supposed to eat.
While the giraffe was still running away, the family followed him. When the giraffe stopped he saw some bushes with blueberries and blackberries. The family thought that wasn't fair because the giraffe was the only one was eating it. So while the giraffe was eating the berries the family sneaks up behind him and started to put purple dye on other berry bushes. The giraffe saw lots of big juicy berries which were the ones that had purple dye in it.So he went up and ate most of it.
After the giraffe ate one berry the family of giraffes was giggling at the giraffe because they knew that it would stain his tongue.
The giraffe felt embarrassed when the family pulled a trick on the giraffe because he had to learn his lesson for stealing the nature’s berries. So that night for the giraffe sneaked and put dyed berries in their dinner. Ever since, all giraffes have had purple tongues.

E.O.T.C DAMPER
We ran excitedly to the big wooden bench. As soon as we got there 2 chocolate colored chunky sticks just laying there as still as a statue. There was also a big round silver metallic gas tank standing on that bench. Our instructor lit up our gas tank so we could cook up our delicious pancake damper that was as sticky as slime. I was the first one to start off cooking. The gas was whistling and hissing while the damper was burning. I felt the hot steam flowing across my face. Even the damper was as hot as the sun. My emotions were dull and sleepy like an old lady! 10 minutes later I started to feel quite hungry. 5 minutes after the damper was ready to eat. The damper was super burnt, but we still ate it anyway. My emotions then were proud and fascinated. The damper was super delicious, but it was kinda wet, sticky & slimy.

As I sit and think about ANZAC Day…
In ANZAC Parades the Soldiers might feel proud for what they did for their country but also sad for their friends that passed away. Maybe they can still hear the bombs going off while they are in quiet. They were probably standing nervously waiting for battle to begin! As soon as war ended the soldiers that survived, could probably see dead bodies, holes in the ground, Soldiers hurt & smoke in the air. They smelt burning smoke from guns and bombs. Soldiers heard shouting and exploding.
Poppies are red with green short stems. Poppies have black pistols(the dot in the middle)with seeds inside. The red represents the Soldier’s blood! They grew in Flanders Fields in either Scotland or Gallipoli. That is where the soldiers lay when they got shot.
